Weekly Update 7/24 – 7/30

Welcome back to The Rock Show, where it’s all about the music!

Mark your calendars, folks.  Look out for the new Rush DVD, the live performance of the Time Machine Tour in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 27.  The tour officially ended sometime at the beginning of the month, so now we’re waiting for any new updates on the new album.  Supposedly they’re going to try for sometime around Christmas for the new album, with a tour in 2012 in support.  I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Bush has a new single out called “The Sound of Winter.”  This is the follow-up single to “Afterlife,” which was released almost a year ago.  The new Bush album, The Sea of Memories, is supposed to be released sometime in September.  This is quite interesting, as it is the first Bush album in quite a number of years.  The new single sounds really good, and bodes quite well for the new album in my opinion.  Definitely consider looking into it.

Last time I mentioned the arrest of Michael Todd, bass player from Coheed & Cambria.  Well, he was released from jail on Monday after posting bail.  There’s not a whole lot to say about it beyond that – there’s no news regarding how the band will deal with this situation yet.  I believe that Wes Styles, the keyboardist, is playing bass for the remainder of their tour dates.

No artists added to the library.

Artists updated:  Yes (Fly From Here), Incubus (If Not Now, When?), Foo Fighters (Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace)
