New Paramore Song and Yes Re-release

Welcome back to The Rock Show, where it’s all about the music!

Paramore headlined the Fueled By Ramen 15-year anniversary show in New York last night, and in the encore they debuted a brand new song.  The song is called “Renegade,” and a promise was made that the band is working to make it available online as soon as possible.  I must say, between this tune, “Monster” from a few months ago, and “In the Mourning” from earlier this year, the songwriting has been top-notch since the Farro brothers left the band.  If that’s a sign of things to come, then we’ll be in for a treat for sure.  Hopefully we’ll get some more info in regards to the new album, but this was certainly a nice surprise!

Here’s a link to the performance of the new track:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cZgNl2GGTJM.

In other news, Yes is re-releasing its 2002 Symphonic Live concert footage.  I’ve tried to find details about this, as it’s a bit confusing, but it appears that the new release is on Blu-ray and will contain some extras (namely a 30-minute documentary).  I’m not entirely sure if there’s a DVD re-release or not, as the few news articles I’ve found are less than clear.  However, the release date is September 13 – this coming Tuesday, so in a few days we’ll see exactly what’s going on.  The footage is from a tour in which the band is backed by a symphony orchestra in the place of a keyboardist.
