Update 11/2

Welcome back to The Rock Show, where it’s all about the music!

Sorry about this past Sunday – the winter storm that came through left the Lehigh University campus without power, which meant that nothing was broadcasted over the airwaves.  The Rock Show will return this Sunday, however, same as usual – 91.3 FM WLVR Bethlehem or from 3pm to 5pm.

Breaking news – drummer Chris Pennie has left Coheed & Cambria due to creative differences.  The band is supposedly in the process of working on a new album – word on the street is that the new album is written but not yet recorded.  With the departure of Mic Todd over the summer, this leaves Coheed & Cambria as a guitar duo – lead guitarist Travis Stever and rhythm guitarist and vocalist Claudio Sanchez.  This departure was announced today, so there has yet to be any news regarding what the band’s future will hold.  This isn’t the first time Coheed has been reduced to Claudio and Travis – after the 2005 album Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, Mic Todd and drummer Josh Eppard left for personal reasons.  Mic Todd came back, and Josh was replaced by Chris Pennie.  The band has persevered before, and I’m sure they’ll be able to do it again.  I’m definitely keeping my eyes open for more updates.
