Welcome back to The Rock Show, where it’s all about the music.  Jimmy Eat World just played two shows nearby:  the House of Blues Atlantic City and the Crocodile Rock.  I wasn’t at either of them (I saw them on the first leg of the tour back in October), but according to the set lists from the shows, they were really great.  Here they are:

For comparison, here’s the set they played back in October at the Electric Factory:

  5. Let It Happen
  6. For Me This is Heaven

  8. Big Casino
  9. Action Needs an Audience
  10. Dizzy
  11. Coffee & Cigarettes
  12. Movielike
  13. Hear You Me

  2. Pain
  3. The Middle
  4. Sweetness

They seem to be playing most of the same stuff, although I’m very jealous that they started playing “Polaris,” a song I would have absolutely loved to hear at the show I went to.  Not to mention, at the Crocodile Rock they played “Thinking, That’s All,” which has got to be one of the deepest vault tunes they have.  It looks like they started the tour playing it safe by doing most of the hits and very few surprises (maybe just “Dizzy” and “Goodbye Sky Harbor”), but as the tour went on it seems they’re dropping some hits in favor of vault stuff like “Polaris,” “Lucky Denver Mint,” and “Thinking, That’s All.”  Either way, they’re definitely putting on a great show assuming they’re still playing like they did back in October.

Here’s a review from the Crocodile Rock show: http://blogs.mcall.com/lehighvalleymusic/2011/02/review-emotions-still-define-jimmy-eat-worlds-music-.html#tp.
